Our services
Our approach to teaching and learning is highly individualised, multi-sensory, systematic and structured, yet at the same time very flexible and playful. Our emphasis is on developing a strong bond and a good relationship, which nurtures the whole child.
What we offer
Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and Dysgraphia
We provide assessments, learning assistance and specialist teaching for school age students. Our teachers have extensive experience in supporting children with specific learning needs and learning disorders. We have the tools, strategies, programs and expertise required to support your child at every stage of the learning process.
General learning support
Many children will need extra learning support at some point in their school life, without necessarily being diagnosed with a learning disorder. We are able to provide the short-term support that these children need, in order to catch up to the expected level of their year group.
Assistance with specialist reports
We assist parents and teachers in clarifying, summarising and interpreting assessment reports written by specialists, including psychologists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, audiologists, optometrists and paediatricians.
Our aim is to distill the most important information from these reports, and to establish the starting point of a student’s support program.
The information provided can assist in the creation of a student’s individual learning plan.
Our team supports parents and teachers by establishing the next steps students need on their learning journey.
Advocacy for your child
For us, collaboration is of the utmost importance. We aim to foster a positive working relationship with your child’s school, to ensure the best learning and support outcomes.
We provide assistance by discussing and explaining your child’s learning needs and challenges with school teachers, support staff and leaders.
This service can equip schools with the necessary information to create an individual learning plan.
Professional development
We offer seminars and practical workshops for teachers, tutors and parents, aiming to deepen their knowledge and skills in the area of learning difficulties. Some of the topics so far have covered learning disorders, such as dyslexia and dyscalculia, and they have been well received by both teachers and parents.
Early intervention
To us, early intervention is of the utmost importance, as it creates an opportunity to identify gaps in students’ developmental areas and meet the resulting learning challenges, while they are very young. Supporting students from a young age can empower them and their parents, and prevent a possible loss of confidence and self-esteem in the early stages of their schooling. We offer a specialised assessment and program, designed for students in their Prep year.
