Learning Difficulties Australia (LDA)
“Learning Difficulties Australia is an association of teachers and other professionals dedicated to assisting students with learning difficulties through effective teaching practices based on scientific research, both in the classroom and through individualised instruction.”
Jenny Vanderzweep is a consultant member of LDA, which can only be achieved by meeting strict criteria regarding Special Education qualifications, experience in the field and ongoing professional development.
LDA also requires that members demonstrate their participation in professional development, and show that they are keeping up-to-date with the latest research and practice in the field. Additionally, members must take part in regular consultants meetings and have appropriate professional insurance.

“SPELD Victoria’s purpose is to assist the estimated 5-10% of all Victorians with Specific Learning Difficulties to achieve their full learning potential. They achieve this through the provision of direct service delivery, information, advocacy and awareness raising amongst the wider Victorian community.”
